FS: Med. shorts and jerseys + sz. 40 blue Sidi Dominator 5s

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Purging my workout clothing drawer of the gear that I didn't love after a few rides... Prices include Priority Mail shipping. If you purchase 2 or more items I will knock $5 off of the total price.

    Sidi Dominator 5s - sz. 40. Original retail: $250.

$75. I believe these are a 2010 model. REALLY nice shoe...broke my heart that they didn't work for me (they match the bar tape on my road bike and the paint job on my new CX bike), and I tried to make them work. I wore them for an entire season as a road shoe, but started having nerve compression issues, as I have very wide feet and these are relatively narrow. They would likely fit someone well with a narrower 7.5-8 foot. Very clean.

    PI InRCool PRO shorts
$50. Worn twice for rides <30 miles...didn't like the fit. Fit like a medium through the waist and hips, but the bottom leg band was way snug and gave me sausage thighs. On the right leg there is noticeable wear of the lycra and the odd external grippy stuff from rubbing on the velcro seatpost strap of my seat bag. If you're a medium with slim thighs these would fit like a dream. I REALLY love the waist on these. Paid $145.

    Craft Women's PB Design short

$50. Worn just 3-4 times...loved the fit, but the chamois was a bit too thin under my sitbones for anything longer than 40 miles. Really flattering, comfortable short. Perfect for someone who likes a lighter, less dense chamois.

Silver version of the Terry Low-Rider short...I think it might have been called "Tiffany."

$40. I wore these once indoors on the trainer for all of 15 miles...the chamois didn't cover my sit-bones in the right spot and was much thinner than I like. Similar feel to the chamois on the Craft shorts.

    PI Pro jersey

$30. Didn't love the fit. I can't seem to do jerseys with any elastic on the bottom.

PI Classic jersey (I think that's the model name).

$25. Nice jersey, worn just once...again, the bottom elastic rode up on me.

    PI Superstar jersey

$25. Really nice, but really long on me. A tall, long-torso'd person would probably love this. It fits a bit large, too. It's definitely a generously cut medium.

What is the inseam on the Craft shorts? I like a longer short (7.5-8"). I normally wear a medium in PI shorts...how does the Craft medium compare in fit? And is there a drawstring (hate 'em)?

I just measured...they are about 8.5" from center seam to bottom of leg. Nice, wide leg bands, comfy, non-binding wide waistband (I'm with you, drawstrings are evil). I loved the fit of the short, just not the chamois. I also wear a medium in PI shorts and these are about the same.

The PI InRCool shorts, orange jersey, and blue jersey all have homes.

Shoes, silver Terry shorts, Craft shorts, and white PI jersey are all still available.

I'm trying to decide between a couple of Dell models (because of the substantial student discount--12%, and the free X-box doesn't hurt). They'll both run the statistics program I need, but one will run it more comfortably. (Also a consideration because the MS program I'm in doesn't make you buy books, but they do give you GIANT Powerpoint presentations.) The question is, is it worth the $400 extra for the processing speed and more memory, especially since unlike my alma mater, they make you buy the software, albeit at a substantial discount.

So not a lot of money for bike things, even though I'd like an extra pair of shorts.

Craft shorts are gone. Just the Sidi shoes, silver Terry shorts, and the white PI jersey remain.

Oh, yeah, computers are a huge $$ suck...and the sad thing is that 12 months later they're replaced by something better for the same $ and 3-5 years later they are obsolete.

Isn't it sad that I'm looking at some of these and thing "damn, these cost more than my bike"? (That's not hard...)

Which one...the pink and purple one? We're getting new team jerseys, soon, so that JDRF/HM one may end up looking for a home, after all. I've never liked the fit of the Sugoi jerseys (again, that bottom elastic business), so I rarely wear that one. Our new ones will be Champion System, which I love.
