Petal Pedal Ride, Silverton OR (June 18)

Anyone do this ride last year? Familiar with the route through Silver Falls State Park? This will be my first century.

The only thing I can tell you is... where there are water falls, there are big hills. I try to avoid those kinds of conditions on my bicycle.

Seriously, are you going to camp overnight? That's what I would do. The state park there is wonderful. The trails back to the falls are worth staying the extra day to hike. You have bathrooms, showers, camp fires, cool hosts and beautiful scenery at the campground. I, unfortunately, am on-call at the hospital that weekend. I have to stay kind of close to home. Besides, we are starting to pack for a move so I have to use my weekend time for that right now. *sigh* Just when it got nice out and stopped raining for a bit.
