I dug my old Bianchi Eros bike out of the shed, got new tires and a tune-up, found some of my old accessories, bought some new ones and I'm riding again.
I'm not exactly a young chicken (56yo) so I've been taking it easy but enjoying it immensely. It took a few rides to just get use to sitting on the saddle. I live in a small town and it's only a short ride to some great country roads. We have a good mix of hills and flat roads so it's really ideal. I'm never going to be fast or race...it's just not me...I need the exercise and there's just something about the feel of a road bike that's so great.
I've enjoyed reading this forum and look forward participating in it.

Welcome back to riding. So inspiring to read that you're enjoying riding again. glad you are back on the saddle. This is a great forum for picking up new and even refresher cycling tips.
Welcome to TE!! So glad you dusted off that Eros and took her out again. I just bought a used Eros frame in December and built her up from scratch. She's a beauty and rides like a dream.
So glad you fell in love with riding again. There's something about seeing life from the saddle of a bike...![]()

Hey Tri Girl, I love my Bianchi Eros...love the color..I think it's called celeste?? I saw some new Bianchi's yesterday and they were some pretty bikes. I think it's cool that you took the frame and built it up from there. How did you know how to do that? I would like to be able to work on my own bike. I'm mechanically minded and I think it would be fun to tinker with it.
