    Gore Ride-on cable help

While trying to adjust my FD cable, I accidentally tore the liner away from the ferrule at the upper down tube cable stop. Now it won't shift right at all. Is there anything I can do short of replacing the whole thing ... and do they even sell these cables individually, or just as a set?

Not sure if your shop would have some spare Gore cables hanging around, but you can always buy a set and only install the one right now.

There aren't even 1000 miles on the cables, which is why it kills me to spend $70 to fix my own stupid mistake, but even if I did that, I wouldn't have the set before TOSRV. I pulled the liner completely out and it seems to be working. I have an email in to Gore asking if it's okay to leave it that way. If not, it should last through the weekend ... I hope ...

Update: I heard back from Gore. They say it's okay to run without the liner for now, and they are sending me a new one! Ten points for a reply within hours and another ten for taking good care of a customer.
