Keeping original stem on my Ruby

Well after doing a 40 mile ride on the Dolce (the one I won) I decided that the bit more stretch that I have on the Ruby is more comfortable of a ride. Actually I think the Dolce needs to be tweeked a bit (maybe seat moved back), although, it makes for a more comfortable ride on the trainer and fine for shorter rides.

I am not sure if the 2011 geometry changed on the Ruby as mine is a 2007. My 2005 Dolce was pretty much the same geometry as the 2007 Ruby.

I am glad that I took the other for a longer ride before my dh switched out the stem.

So that is just my little update from my other post.

    Depends which Ruby you had.

First year of Rubys 2005 all the bikes (comp, elite, pro etc) where all the same.

2008 the top three bikes (S-Works, Pro and Elite) had their frame changed to have bubble zertz in the rear stays and front fork instead of the straight zertz. The lower models had the same frame.

2010 saw the split of the Ruby into the Amira race bike and the Ruby relaxed. The Ruby retained the same shape as 2008.

Dolce changed shape in 2009 to be a bit more like the Ruby. 2011 has had another shape change again. However there are some shapes that cannot be made in aluminimum that can be made in carbon so even thought the Dolce has a very similar shape to the Ruby now, it won't exactly be the same.

thanks for all the info KiWi. My Ruby is a 2007 wish was pretty compatible to my 2005 Dolce which I had sold. All including my my new Dolce are 51's. I think they made the 2011 Dolce's much more relaxed as I am sitting more upright on it. This is all fine because each bike will have a different purpose and comfortwise are good for each bikes purpose if that makes any sense.
