    How Far Have You Come?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Think back to when you started doing something. Maybe it's a language you've learned or an instrument you're playing. Maybe it's something to do with cycling or some other physical activity. Maybe it's cooking or working at your relationship with yourself or others. Remember how hard it was? Now think about where you are with that thing.

Pretty cool, huh. You ROCK don't ya!

Thanks Veronica for prompting me to think about it. It is so easy to focus on what you still need to do and not to look at your success so far. I needed this reminder today and Yes, I do rock!

You are right Veronica! I have been so used to saying that I lost all my weight in the last year, and now I think about it, it has been two years! And I haven't put any of it back on! I do rock!

    Thank you

I used to look at the sky and wonder when the aliens that put me here would come and retrieve me (ha ha, too much Dr Who as a child)
Now I've managed to publish books, see places on Earth no other human being has seen, create videos and be in a few TV shows (nothing you'd recognize), do a durn good job at illustration and I'm doing pretty well at computers - its nice to take stock now and then with all the distractions of life . . .
    if only I could do a century . . .

Thank you for this Veronica! Like many, I get so focused on the current challenge that it is easy to forget how far we have come.

Wow, I needed this reminder today about perspective. Thanks, Veronica!

I really tend to focus on my flaws, my failures, and what I should be accomplishing. I woke up this morning just feeling kind of down. Driving to work, I was thinking really negative thoughts about myself and my life. But I should be proud of myself. I have accomplished a lot in my life. I am lucky and should be grateful for everything I have and everything I can do! I do rock!!!

I don't think I really started living until the past few years. Now I have a lot of making up to do. Cycling is a big part of that.
