Looking to buy a 52cm entry level road bike

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I'm looking for an entry-level 52cm road bike. I'm in a 150 mile ride for MS at the end of August and am desperately seeking a bike! I'm hoping to start commuting to work, after the ride, with my new bike.

Let me know if you have any leads!

    Thanks!

The best thing I can suggest is Craigslist. That's how we found my bike, and it even came with shoes that were my size! Good luck!!

Thanks yellowrose93! I've been looking on Craigslist in the Cincinnati area, but haven't had any luck! I'll keep looking--thanks for the encouragement!

If you have a little wiggle room, you could also expand the bike size a bit. My son now has about the same leg length as I do (I ride a 51cm roadie). We found a 54cm Centurion Dave Scott Master that he fits on and the bonus for him is he has some growth room in there.

Seems like I found a lot more 54cm than 51cm in our craigslist (Portland, OR).

Good luck with your training and MS ride.

ETA: The bike is above entry-level, '89 Shimano Ultegra component group throughout, 21lbs. He loves it.

You can also try the classified section on www.roadbikereview.com, sellers are all roadies and some really good deals. Must post pictures!

I have a 50 cm Jamis Aurora that I'm considering selling. It has probably has less than 200 miles on it and does not have a scratch on it. It is in mind condition. It's a great bike but I have too many bikes (5 now!)

I'm 5'5" and didn't know if the 50 cm in the Aurora might work for you.
