Two months ago we were having our first of two consecutive massive snow storms.

Right now it is 9 pm and it's still 80 degrees outside. I think I am actually going to have to turn the A/C on tonight in order to sleep.

    This is nuts!!

I completely agree~ I was thinking the same thing last night, lying in bed, sweating profusely. This is ridiculous; it's only APRIL! What happened to SPRING?

After the winter we had, I won't complain about the heat and sunshine. That said, I hear you, NY. My poor tulips aren't doing well in the heat and the magnolia trees have already shed their blossoms! Right now, all I hear is the sound of three golden retrievers, panting and waiting for the A/C to cycle on.

Fear not, it will cool down after some thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon/evening...then we are back to the low sixties for highs.

I made it through the night without the A/C. There was actually a nice breeze, so it cooled down enough after midnight. However every surface in my home is now covered with tree pollen.

I don't think I've ever seen so much pollen in previous years. All the cars parked on my street are more yellow than ever. It's like the trees just exploded.

I'm waiting to clean until the cold front passes through tomorrow night and I have to close the windows again.

You're right about the pollen. This morning during my bike ride, I could see if in the beam of my bike headlight. Constant dust barrage. And it was creeping behind my glasses and getting in my eyes.

I think you can blame all this crazy weather on my husband and I, LOL! We just moved to Maryland in December ( he is in USAF) ... and from what I was told, you all haven't had a storm like that for like 7 years! Go figure... we come when it is the worst!!

The pollen is crazy here. Monday night we had a huge thunderstorm in the middle of the night (I know because I was awakened by a 45-lb Border Collie on my head). It washed all the pollen away. But 24 hours later it was even thicker than before. Luckily I'm not bothered by pollen, but I feel for people who suffer with allergies.
