    3Day Route Safety

    To disable ads, please log-in.

I am so excited! I got my crew assignment for the 2010 Susan G. Komen 3-Day and I am on Route Safety and I get to ride my bike! This will be my forth year crewing and I've walked twice.

Now I have to decide how to decorate my bike...

MARY!!! CONGRAT!!!!!!!! I'll have to dig up some pics of my bike - you'll find it QUITE inspiring!

I'm assuming you're doing the walk in Texas, but could I be wrong? I'm doing Denver, DC, Atlanta and Tampa again this year (did all 4 last year, swore I would never do that many, and yet, here I am, signed up for Route Safety in all four cities again!)

This year will be my 5th year on Route Safety (bicycle) so feel free to ask me any and all questions. If you couldn't tell, I'm really excited to be part of the 3-Day!
For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.

How do you get to do route safety on a bike (i.e., who do you contact)? I'd be interested - it's a cause near and dear to me, and I'd really like to help (probably too late for this year, but there's always next year). Plus I have a "pinked" bike - what could be better

Having walked and crewed, I can tell you without a doubt that crewing is harder! But it is an incredible experience. All you have to do is go to the3day.org and click on register. There you can register as a crew member or walker. After that, you will have an interview with the crew coordinator and decide where you will be. You may or may not get the area you request (I always tell them that I would be happy to do whatever is needed, and I am)

I know in Dallas, the crew positions fill up quick, so the earlier you register, the better.
