I know this probably doesn't seem like cycling related at first sight BUT.... I will be moving to Philly area and I super stoked b/c I've been doing research online and see that they have a large cycling community and women's only race teams, WOW! Something I have dreamed about but never found to exist here. I wondered if any of you were members of these teams, I've found most of their websites but would like to find out more. I will be in graduate school but I would love to be able to do some racing. I would love to be able to have a good group to train with too!

Welcome to PA, WindingRoad! The cycling community here is just amazing! There are several recreational clubs and a plethora of racing teams. Quite a few women only too. I'm the coordinator for the PA Women's Racing group and a board member of the PA Cycling Association. Shot me a PM and I'd be glad to help you out. See you on the road or trails soon!

A little bit of everything....road, mountain, commuting. I don't have a regular group that I ride with. It's usually me and DH, and maybe a friend or two. I like to ride fast (though my fast may be your slow ) and I've done some pacelining, but I'm not terribly competitive. I'm just as happy to cruise along and chat.

AC- thanks for the links! Will check them out tonight!
