    Hey everyone:
My family and I are leaving from Canada for Disney, Tuesday, January 12. I just heard saw on TV that it is freezing over there. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Like a good portion of the country, Florida is experiencing record low temps. Weather.com's 10-day forecast shows some improvement later next week, but it looks to me that temps will remain below normal. Dress warmly!
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

I am farther south in Ft.Lauderdale(about 3.5 hrs south) and it has been cold! Overnight temps dropping into the low 30s high 20s at times. Mornings inthe 30s-40s and daytime highs in the low 60s.

We have had windchills and freeze warnings. Central FL(Orlando area) has had frost and ice.

Someone else on here can give a better idea of what the weather is up there!

Why not just punch the location into any online weather forecasting site, like this one for example?:
    http://www.accuweather.com/us/fl/orl...u=1&traveler=1
You can get up to 15 day forecast predictions for just about anywhere on earth. Ah, the wonders of the internet!

Believe it or not, I just saw a news cast that said that Orlando might have snow showers coming! Most southern states don't do well with ice and snow. I recall back in 1990, I lived in Jacksonville, FL. I was so happy to move to Florida and leave behind the snow in New Jersey. To my amazement, the first month in my Florida home it snowed and froze up! We were iced in for several days.

Freaky weather -- sure doesn't feel like global warming... <snort>

From someone that WAS there it was f-f-f-f-f-freezing!
It was low 30's w/ wind blowing and sleet for the start of the 1/2 marathon. Temps never got above 40 degree in cloudy skies w/ wind. I was very cold.
I left there this AM (Sunday) with a 29 degree start to the marathon (thank goodness I was not running that one). Again very windy. Only good thing...sun was shinning today.

I wish I had the picture to download here, but at one of the pools at the resort that was heated... 2 mallard ducks were in it. Seems they wanted warmer water (weather), too!

    Yes, most everyone was freezing!

I just got back from a kayak camping trip in Florida - we kept continually planning new trips further south (first suwanee river, then 10 thousand islands, then... ) but then finding the weather was going to be too cold.

We ended up driving down to the keys & doing the south part of the everglades because that was the only place we could get 60-70 degree highs with 40-50 degree lows.

Friday morning, the park service guys showed up to service the portapotty on the chickee we were camping on that night, and said 'have you gals seen the forecast for tonight/tomorrow?' We said "it's gonna be cold again..." He says "HIGH OF 45 cold, low of 28 in Miami"

So even though we were supposed to stay another night, we decided it was time to paddle our way out of there.

But if you ever want the everglades all to yourselves without mosquitos, that weather is perfect
