Depends on the green. That Salsa Chili Con Crosso I was looking at a year or so ago wouldn't necessarily qualify as being an "earthy" shade.
None of those categories really fits my tastes. I like them either subdued, like mossy greens or browns or even grey, or make-yer-eyes-bleed fun colors like neon green. If I can't get the bike I want in either of those ranges, I stick with black.
Basically, no pastels or primaries for me.

+1
Since the category right below 'orange/red/greens' was "no bright colors,=black, silver, etc"... made it seem like the red/orange/green group were the usual really bright or neon bike primary colors.
I like soft rich earthy tones too. If I ever get another bike it'll probably be the yummy color of a brown kraft paper bag.![]()

One problem with the poll is that I LOVE black bikes and HATE white ones, which you grouped together. I have one of each. What I hate about the white one is that it gets dirty so fast, (I also dislike that it has a frilly blue decoration). What I love about the black one is it doesn't show the dirt, and like the red accents. In fact, nude carbon is my favorite. Second would be bare titanium...........
I don't see an option for bright primary colors. Seriously, like the old schwinn red and orange. Or any kind of bright blue. Or bright purple or fuschia or magenta. My road bike, which was available with a choice of colors but not a custom color, is a shade most men call pink but I call fuschia. Women just say they like the color.
I am now shopping for a full suspension mountain bike. As dumb and girly as it is, the lack of color out there is causing me to wait. Who decided that bikes should be neutral colored with just a hint of color on the badge? All I see are black (ick) or silver (even worse) or kinda greyish (gag me). Oh and don't forget moss or khaki green. I think the marketers are missing something. Hell, colors can be manly. Go look at a custom motorcycle or car show and you will see what I am talking about.
Being born and raised in Seattle, I can tell you that these neutral mud colors are the dominant design aesthetic here, and I hate it. Dullness is so pervasive that even I am dressing dull, it is getting harder to find bright clothes to purchase.

my favorite color is pink. everything i have is pink. but when it came time to picking a bike a think a white bike with colored detail will last longer and not age as fast in terms of style. i hope.
