Reply With QuoteI went to the women's race today...it was fun. I missed seeing more pros but I guess we lost them to Liberty Classic in Philly, and of course to the european races. But still it was exciting to see who was there. I liked watching TIBCO. I missed seeing the crash at the end but I was surprised at how unphased the racers sounded.
I haven't been to Clarendon in ages, it's a construction zone! It took away from the ambiance of the race for sure. I hope they are done by next year....

Rain, I wouldn't count on it. Since they built Clarendon Commons, the theme has been tear-down-the-old and put up bigger/taller buildings. The neighborhood has lost a lot of its character, unfortunately. I remember when the Sears was there/open!

We lost pro women because the AF races weren't on the NRC calendar this year. Instead, they were calling it an "elite women's 1/2" race.

of course, that makes sense. didn't they do that a few years ago...get rid of the women's pro race? that's how i learned the little bit about women's pro racing that I know - I really miss it.
