Best Friends in Kanab, Utah

We just got back from Bryce and Zion National Parks. We hiked over 30 miles in four days, and it was absolutely amazing!

We stopped at "Best Friends," a sanctuary for animals, on our way back. It was incredible. What a wonderful place for abused animals.

On July 4th weekend, we are renting a cabin on the grounds (they also have cottages). And, we get to have a little friend stay with us each night! We are soooo excited. We are planning on doing some volunteer work while we are there. We are hoping to make this an annual event.

If you have never been there, it is a must see!

Sounds wonderful. I volunteered with Best Friends after Hurricane Katrina, and I hope to visit Kanab someday. They are such a great organization.

That so great! I always catch "Dogtown" whenever it airs on the National Geographic Channel. If I volunteered there I'd probably want to take home the furry ones who shared my cottage with me .
