    Stationary Swim Belt?

Has anyone tried using a stationary swim belt for training in a small pool? Are they any good? One better than the other? Any help, advice, opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I know of a few people who use them. They say that it's pretty good but not nearly as good as "real" swimming. One mentioned is this one.
I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

Yep, have one, hate it. Reasoning is that is reminds me of a treadmill...all that hard work and you don't go anywhere. But in a pinch it is a way to get in some practice/endurance.

    thanks

Thanks. I fashioned a homemade swim belt from my Zoot number belt and and an extra long resistance band. Tied it to the palm tree at the end of my pool. I''m sure I look like a complete freakshow, but I think it will work.
