Cycling the trails at the Wye River Natural Resources Management area on a beautiful Friday was on the list. I parked at the entrance and planned to ride 4 miles on the dirt road and then ride every trail on the way back to the park entrance. I got to the first trail, which was an easy grass surface that led to the Wye river. A good beginning. Next, I rode the Jack-in-the-Pulpit trail, which seemed a bit more like mountain biking without the hills. The wye-knot was comprised of a tree wrapped in vines. When I rejoined the main trail, I found that I had two flat tires and 4 miles to walk to where I had parked. To top off the strange trip: a tick near my underwear!
I should have gone to work today!
