Good for you! Ooooh, nice paint job!And that's a sharp looking stock saddle if you ask me. So will this your official commuter bike? Are you going to install a motion detector on it so that your mechanic doesn't sneak it out for a lunch ride?

Ahhhh I have always wanted a pink bike. But buying on what fits, and what is right for me has never quite taken me to the elusive pink bike.... Until now...
Meet "Pinky"

She's my new flat bar roadie and I LOVE her. I wasn't sure how I would like her coming off of a full carbon/dura ace tri machine, but she does just fine.
Yes I do notice the harsher ride, but I'm going to change out a few things like the bar and seatpost.
I was also concerned about going backwards into a less expensive grupo, but I really haven't noticed much of a difference? Maybe I'm a bit dim?? Or maybe it's just that 4 yr old dura ace isn't that much different from todays tiagra??
I know that's a stretch, but really she does shift fine, and is nice and quiet.
I've also found that despite the upright position and wider tires I'm able to stay close to my average speed on my tri bike.
On the tri bike I average around 16mph, on pinky I'm averaging 15.2. So not bad.
Overall I think this is a great option for someone wanting to ride road for fitness, or who is a mtn biker who wants the option to do some road rides with friends. I'm going to use her as a commuter, as well as a training bike.
Oh- and the only other thing I have to change out is the saddle. I need my selle smp!! - If anyone has one they are selling PM me!!
Wider is not always better, and the stock saddle is wide. UGH
Next bike for me will be the Giant avail alliance (carbon alu mix). Just waiting for them to come in.
Whoo hoo the bike shop owner is FINALLY getting new bikes!!!!
- Oh and the name pinky... that was my nickname as a kid.![]()

Most days in life don't stand out, But life's about those days that will...
Thanks all.
I do love her, and think she would make a great intro bike for anyone wanting to get into road riding or commuting.
She's not top of the line by any means, but I find myself smiling a lot when I ride her.
She looks so nice! I like how the saddle matches the color scheme.
My, she is a very sexy sleek bike.
Love the colour coordination.
Yes, it's a real 'yum' looking bike.

Nice looking bike!! As you have noticed, the groups below Dura Ace do indeed shift nice. The adjustments on the higher end are much finer, and may be lighter, but it all shifts well.
AS for your average speed, as they say" it's all about the motor". Have fun with your new bike and now it is something you'll have no problem recommending it to one of your customers!!![]()
Although I think the bike is 'yum', I don't really know what a flat bar roadie is?
I know what a road bike is and I know what a mountain bike is and that's about it...........doh!
HELP.

Hey Sally-
YES I owe you an email!
Anyway, a flat bar road bike is just that... A road bike with 700c wheels, and a flat bar and shifters like a mountain bike.
Imagine a road bike and a mountain bike getting together for some lovin- and that's what results.
When I'm riding her I feel like I'm on my mtn bike- just going really really fast!
I love it.
A couple of funny asides.
I've almost killed myself a couple of times because I think my brakes are on my bar ends. You see I have bullhorns on my tri bike, so I'm used to grabbing for the brakes there...
Also the new bike has 700c wheels and the tri bike has 650's, so I feel like I'm way higher than I should be. And clipping in and out has been a bit sketchy.
Oo! Oo! PINK!!!!!I thought about calling my bike Pinky. I had settled on Baby, cause that's just what I kept calling her, but lately I've been thinking about either Pinky or Caddy (cause she's a Cannondale CAAD9).
Anyways, congrats on the pink bike!!! She's purdy.![]()
Oh! That's like my flat bar bike (FCR1), but no pink.![]()
She's a beaut!
