    Merida?

    Hey Girls,
Has anyone heard of or know anything about the company Merida?

I have been borrowing a teammates spare bike(he is a pro, so he has a team bike) and I really like it!(mine is to small and is for sale). He just gave me the option to buy the bike, which I am pretty sure I am going to do(it is a 2008 Merida Scultura 907).
I googled Merida, and what I know is that they are a Taiwanese company, looks like sold mostly in Australia and South America. (my teammate is from Argentina)

So... I know I like how the bike rides and it fits me perfectly, but before I buy it I wanted to figure out what it was worth(since I haven't been able to google and find what this bike sold for last year) and a general idea and reviews of the company.

    Thanks!

    kala

Emily, a very very popular & well respected bike shop in Western Australia might be able to give some info- www.kalamundacycles.com.au.

Well, not only that but the two owners are on the Merida MTB team .

    Happy hunting!

    Merida

Emily: I don't know about their road bikes, but the most dominant female XC mountain bike racer ever (Norwegian Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesja) races on Merida bikes http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/articl...nety-six-14445

Merida is a big company like Giant. Quite famous for its MTB series. Its road bike Scultura EVO FLX also received quite good review like the one below.

2008/3 Tour magazine reviewed carbon road bikes

    Thanks everyone!
Those charts were great, it helped me compare it in stiffness(which is something I was wondering about!)
