    Hi all
Been off the bike for *cough cough* months...but getting the fever. The Aurora is sitting in my studio...had to bring her in over the winter from the bike shed...how anthropomorphic is that!

Just saw Terry's new Valkyrie bikes....sweet! black steel....

Also just read that Vermont Teddy Bear is buying a major share in Terry...hope it signals a long life....

perhaps this is old news....well....hello anyway!

Just been grazing posts....DAMN I miss this place!!!!

Hi Elk, did you lose your love affair with the Aurora?

I bought a Globe. I've been thinking of you as I pedal the miles away.

I remember how happy Elk was when she got that and that kind of piqued my interest in the Aurora.

Gosh no....I still LOVE that bike...more in fact than ever!! I realize how much work I've put into her...the leather, the new bars, the just right acorn bag....the bike fit.....

and how super she looks! I was about to take her out and clean and lube the chain, pump up the tires and ride....but it got dark....

So what else should I do to get ready to ride?

I really like it. I'm still tweaking her. It has a Shimano IG8 Nexus hub.

I think the valkyrie is a stunning bike. I would love to get a hold of one. I'm not really sold on the fork but it is almost everything i am looking for in a bike, not that I am looking.
Thanks TE! You pushed me half way over!

What I want to know about the Valkyrie:

does it have long reach brakes to accommodate wide-ish tires and fenders?

    and

does it have eyelets for rack mounting?

That Valkyrie has some monster gears!
The Jamis specs say 11-32 but it's a triple. I'm confused
