When will you be here and where will you be staying? With that in mind I can give you an idea as to what's happening around here. Boise is very easy to walk around and there is plenty to do downtown, if that is where you will be.

Boise downtown is really cute and small and flat. I used to work downtown and could get anywhere i needed to go on my lunch break easily.

day trip paddle rafting on the Payette. You'll be pretty much at ground zero for some of the best rafting in the nation...
I knew you would chime in Irulan...I was waiting for you!!! hehe
Rafting was high on my list of things to do...sooo....any recommendations on a rafting outfit that will surely not disappoint?
Then where do we re-fuel our bellies gals??? Bison burgers???

I think Cascade Outfitters has a very good reputation.
Yup, Cascade rafters is a good choice, BUT, getting there might be a challenge. There IS tubing on the Boise river, which is much tamer, but more easily accessible, AND a fairly lazy activity!
They're not running a Shakespeare play that night, but the Idaho Shakespeare festival is a GREAT way to spend an evening -- www.idahoshakespeare.org.
Also, a stroll along the Greenbelt is a nice way to start the day -- look out for the bikes! (not that it's fun to ride on, you'll see LOTS of wicked tree roots!)
the 25th is a Saturday, and there's a neat "farmer's market" downtown in the morning -- a wide assortment of foods, art/crafts, performances -- it's pretty cool!
oh oops, missed the "on bike or foot " part.
oooh -- if you need a cab to get anywhere, call "American Luxury Taxi" -- family owned and operated, usually just the airport, and they're lovely people! (you can set up a will call at the airport -- nothing better than a CLEAN cab!)
