Trail building

I spent a few hours this morning helping clear grass trees, rocks etc for a cool new trail addition here. Twill be an awesome uphill workout & a great downhill delight. Ahhhhh

I would like to know if you've ever helped out & how many folks do you normally get helping? It seems to be the same people all the time..Why is that?

Do you have environmental issues stopping your area from building new "legal"trails? We have dieback...but that doesn't stop folks from riding on "illegal"yet well built & well ridden trails.

I've not done any mtn biking this week as I spent my normal dirt days doing my assignment..

I've helped build quite a bit of trail in my area. We have annual trail work weekends with over 100 volunteers but there is a core group of 8-10 so that work on trails regularly.

We don't have a lot of environmental issues with new trails, but there are bureaucratic issues that have to be dealt with since most of the trails are in county parks.
