    Tour Down Under (no spoilers)

Anyone out there get a chance to catch any of the Tour Down Under.
I have just finished watching the last stage and must say I'm disappointed that my daily fix of watching the pros is over for now.

I'm not a huge Lance fan but I must say that he looked super relaxed and fit. I enjoyed seeing his interviews and have to admit that I am a little more charmed by him now than before his break from professional cycling.
The crowds were huge this year and I think Lance had a lot to do with that.

I look forward to seeing the Tour of California (well highlights as least) next.

I've only seen the clips on velonews, which although cool, are really not much of a fix. I did just discover that Versus has been televising this all week - stupid me for not recording.

You're coming out to see the ToC live, right?

    I wish mate!!
Unfortunately our dollars sucks against most other western currencies at the moment so I think all holidays will be close to home.

I will be back to visit you all some day though.

I agree on everything and I would like to add that love him or hate him, I believe Lance is a good thing for cycling.

Lance is cool. I just hope he is honest. Right now, I believe he is.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed this. Each stage was so exciting even though we only had half hour of highlights every day (except for the last stage which was live - Yay SKY TV!!!)

I have been busy following this, as well as the Tour of Wellington last week (not to mention getting in my own time on the bike) and so I haven't been into TE.

But I was so impressed with the "watchability" of the TDU...

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

We saw Lance live and up close just two months ago racing mountain and he wasn't nearly that lean. For a pro cyclist he looked borderline chunky (and he had hairy legs- hehe). How do they do that??

The TDU looked a bit sweltering. I didn't get to watch much, dang VS and their 30 minutes. I wish we were going to Cali this year but alas we will be DVRing the coverage. It was the best vacation ever last year.

I watched the tour, and yeah the first thing I noticed was that Lance looked thick. Maybe just lots of weights on top of biking. Who cares, he's back in the mix, and the attack on the last lap was awesome. He's still got the legs. The man is a freak of nature and good for the sport and cancer research. I'd have a beer with him. Looking forward to the Tour of California, already set to tivo.

I enjoyed it, and although I have mixed feelings about Lance, I couldn't help but root for him when he attacked on that last stage. Gotta admit, he makes pro cycling exciting -- and when he races, Versus *will* cover it, so that's a good thing in my book!

    hmm

Obviously once the tour left Adelaide, people (IE Motorists) forgot that real cyclists exist.
