My goodness, what devastating news, something every parent dreads.

Jett Travolta, 16, suffered a seizure at a rented villa where the family had been spending their vacation.

Loretta Mackey, a police spokesman in Nassau, said that Jett had died after he hit his head while in a bath at the holiday home.

A couple years ago, this happened to a co-worker's son. At breakfast, everything's fine, the seizure occurs, at dinner you're planning a funeral.

This is worse than any parents worst fear because it's sudden and you can't blame it on an extraneous event like an accident. The fact that they witness the seizure probably just adds to the subsequent feelings of guilt.

My heart bleeds for any parent who experiences this.
