    Where did it go?

Holy Moly where did 2008 go??? I can't belive it's December!!!

I can't wait for our cross country excursion in a few weeks & then our flight to Auckland to see friends n family. Some mtn biking in Ian's hometown (Rotorua) is on the cards.

I might even get to meet the mysterious & lovely MillieNZ..

Well CC, while we say good bye to '08, you are fortunate to have the best of the season ahead of you. We had our first snowfall yesterday!

I feel the same way! It just doesn't seem like we've been in Bend for over a year now but the Bobs came up for their second Thanksgiving here with us.

And I still pinch myself everyday. I love living here.

It did seem to go fast, but when I think back on it, it was a pretty full year!

    • I celebrated New Years with a delightful bike ride in Williamsburg, Virginia
    • I submitted nine applications for funding of projects for various clients--the most submittals in years (but we still haven't heard the results for most of them--the gu'ment sure does take it's time!)
    • I ordered and got a Bike Friday, and then I took it to France for a voyage that was very personal and important for me to do.
    • Bike Virginia (on the Bike Friday, again), and a few more work deadlines over the summer
    • I almost bought a condo, but thankfully bought a house instead, and started the renovation.
    • I 'm learning alot and working to take the company I work for to a new level
    • I've made great progress on my personal issues that have kept me from being happy
    • I'm in a wonderful and fulfilling relationship, still!
    • Next week I'll welcome a new buddy into my life (more on that later).

So it does seem that it went fast, but I am proud of what I accomplished and thankful that I'm still headed in a positive direction.

This year was very full. DH and I did a huge landscaping project which he says I did most of, painted three rooms, went the California (first for him), the mountains of our state (first for me) and New Mexico (sorta a first for me). The family is healthy and so are the furkids, it was a good year that flew on by.
