    Help with color coordination

I need handlebar tape to match my blue Conti GP4000 tires. What's going to be a good color match? (I like a comfy fat tape.)

Which blue? I've seen 2 blues for Conti 4000s. (i forget the names)

For one of them, I'm pretty sure this tape is a decent match:

It is FAT and cushy! People tell me my bike would lose weight if I didn't use this tape. I went with fizik soft touch for a while, but it was so hard to keep clean, so I went back to white s-wrap. It's almost like I have wing bars now.

Wait, what color is your bike? It's also blue?

    Black, blue and white.

I should've thought about Specialized - the Specialized bottle cages I already had on there are pretty much an exact match for the tires. Thanks!

No flak Rhodie - I just couldn't keep white bar tape clean enough. Blue at least hides some dirt.

    BLUE!

The tape Aicabsolut picked out looks pretty good. Something to pick up the light blue stripe.

I like white too, but think that would only work if you're obsessive/compulsive to clean it after every ride. In my life, that wouldn't happen.

I would like bright RED on that bike. Especially if I could get something else near the back of the bike that was also red, like accents on a saddle or something. I like red. My car is red. All my jackets are red. My bike is not red, but if I ever go custom, it will be red.

This must sound so wrong , but I love dirty white tape, the patina of old rides showing. I clean my tape, like, twice a year.

That blue will look good, though.

The tires look really good on it. So I want to match them with the bar tape.

Funny story: a couple of weeks ago I brought my bike to the LBS for them to install a new chain and cassette. The owner was on the phone and there were two other people waiting for him. Men in suits - I don't know if they were insurance guys, missionaries or what, but they didn't look like bike people, which was reinforced by the question one of them asked me:

"Excuse me, ma'am, how did your tires get blue?"

How did they get blue? Just then the shop owner got off the phone and came up front. I was in a bit of a hurry, but mostly I was so dumbfounded I couldn't think of how to answer that question.

PS - my eyes are brown. Don't think that would look so great with the bike

I have dark blue on my Cannondale now, it looks okay but is a little too dark like the black. I had light blue, it looked good but not right with the Maxxis tires I was running. Now I am back to black and may do the lighter tape again.

Blue on that frame is great looking, let us know what you pick. That Specialized looks nice, might have to try it.

I'd do yellow bar tape, just 'cause I have yellow on my blue bike and like it a lot. (yellow was on sale, and I was being cheap when I bought it). I have grey silver tires though.
