actually Tri you don't need to start a test thread to see if it's there, just find a thread you've posted to. Once you get your avatar attached, it'll automatically attach itself to all your postings!!

Maybe the image you tried to upload was too large. I actually had to shrink mine quite a bit until it fit in the allowed size noted on the edit avatar page of "100 x 100 pixels or 9.9 KB (whichever is smaller)".

I used Adobe Photoshop Elements, but that is not a free program. I just did a search, and it looks like you can resize pictures with Irfanview, which is free.Originally Posted by trigurl

what Denise said Tri: I got Infranview on someone else's recommendation here on the board and found it very easy to use. I was able to resize all my pixs - both those pulled off webpages and photos.
