My husband just got back from a tour and his nipples have been rubbed raw! Ouch! Any advice for him. I don't remember ever having this problem. He said band aids. That just made me giggle.

Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Ouch. He should have used Body Glide. Maybe keep them lubricated with neosporin and some nursing pads.
Bandaids would be a good idea to keep them from rubbing on anything else.
My partner used to get this all the time when he ran (marathon distances) and it was from the constant rub of the salt he sweated out which dried in his tee-shirt.
He put vaseline on his, and this lessened the problem, and also while they were healing it meant there was a protective barrier (for a while, depending on how many hours he was running).
He doesn't seem to get this issue cycling, and he racks up 400-600km per week in his training. Perhaps because of the fabric of cycling jerseys???
Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
"I will try again tomorrow".
PS... bandaids just come off again...
He can try, but didn't work for my man...
That happened to one of my guy friends! They ended up putting major amounts of lube over them because bandaids did fall off. Also, Vitamin E oil will help it to heal. While healing, he cut out little bits of tshirt and made a patch for them.... who knows. Good luck!
The little dot bandaids seemed to work well for my ex-husband. He worked in a freezer, though, so sweat wasn't a factor!
