Hi everyone,

I've been having problems with my bike all of August so I've actually been a little depressed... Now the BB needs to be replaced and it seems that my LBS guy can't find the part, so more waiting.

The only bright light in my horizon is that i've bought my air ticket to New York (to see my BF, It would be a year since I last saw him) for December.

I don't have any hopes of cycling then (It's winter, I will be too busy dealing with my first winter, hope i see some snow), but I'm hoping that I will be able to do some shopping, bike related stuff, cute jerseys, shoes - clipless. I intend to be using regular pedals until next year, stuff I cannot get here in Singapore unless I buy online.

What is the situation like regarding sales in December? I wonder if there will be sales coz it's off season, then maybe I can buy more? hehhe.. Also, where to go? My bf lives in Hartsdale, Westchester county, and it's close enough to NYC. I have many days there so I'm sure I can devote one or two to tracking down cycle stuff.

I tried looking online but alot of the info was very commercial. I'm hoping there'll be some NY female cyclists here who will be able to give me good ideas. I know it's really a long way to go but i'm excited, and to even think about my current bikeless situation and the bad weather here.. its been raining non stop.. literally... it's just soooooo depressing.. so thinking of the exciting December I'll be having is just about the only silver lining my clouds have now.
