Oh, am I in trouble now! I just traded in my Bacchetta Giro recumbent for the faster, and much hotter Bacchetta Strada recumbent. However, after 6 years of exclusively riding recumbents, I've also been thinking about getting an upright bike to give me some variety. The Strada is great, but a different bike would be fun. Yesterday I stopped at a bike shop where the owner specializes in fitting the rider to just the right bike, and talks about rider specific geometry. He really gets technical about it, and makes minute adjustments to seats, etc. Anyway, I showed up with street clothes, and he put me on an Orbea Diva (wow!) on a trainer. He also showed me a Serotta Fierte. These bikes were both beauties, and both were spendier than most people would pay for a second variety bike. I think that I'm going to go back wearing bike clothes, and take both out for rides to do some hills to see how they feel. I fear that I'm in trouble now. Have others here ridden those bikes, and what do you think?
