-- Name your files with the city and state where you commute and the approximate round trip distance (in miles) of your commute.
-- Include your full name in the email as you wish it to appear in the picture credits.
-- Send your images to jasonbhouston@gmail.com with the subject line “Orion - Bicycle Commuting”.
Please note that due to the nature of this project and our limited budget as a nonprofit, advertising-free magazine we will not be able to pay for usage of your photographs. This is a bit of a paradox -- how do you commute and take a picture of yourself at the same time?
...I guess that's what friends are for...
Kfergos, I was sort of wondering too, whether they want pictures of commuters or of the commute. I was thinking a picture of other commuters encountered on a particularly nice part of the commute might be good.
I guess the ambiguity of the instructions only adds to the creativity that I'm sure will result.
I've always thought I should bring a camera along on my commute, since I go across the Mississippi, through a neighborhood of Victorian houses, past the Cathedral and state capitol, back down by the river, alongside a railroad track, past some barges, up a bluff and through a mini gorge. I always see interesting or beautiful sights along the way. And the funny thing is that when I get to work, people always ask "how did you ride your bike here?" as if the freeway is the only way to get from point A to point B.
