I live in Santa Rosa and for a nice ride in the city limits, there's the Prince Memorial Greenway, which becomes the Santa Rosa Creek Trail. What section of town are you staying in?
We are striving to become a LAB certified bike friendly city, but I'll admit, we still need some work. I highly recommend the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalitions map, created by one of the most knowledgeable cyclists in the area.

santa rosa-any rides not in traffic?

hi -i'm thinking of taking my road bike with me for a quick visit in santa rosa...how is the riding within the city...ie bike lanes? i know sonoma + napa have lovely rides (!) but if i wanted to hop on my bike in town (S. Rosa) is there any park or quiet roads to ride on...i'm worrying about congestion etc...
would love any guidance!
