Question Long-fingered gloves for hot weather?

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Does anyone know who makes a long-fingered glove (at least on the first two fingers) that is light-weight enough for summer? My hands/fingers sweat and slip sometimes on my bars and brake levers if I wear the regular ones with the fingers cut off. I do have an old, and I mean old, pair of pearl izumi gloves that have mesh backing and a leather grip - full finger but these are literally falling apart. I'd love to get a pair of new lightweight ones for summer!
    Thanks!

I wear a women's full-fingered, wrist-length glove made by Specialized. The model is Ridge. Good smooth fit for my small hands. Minimal padding. (My preference.) Not super lightweight, but once I get going on the bike, I don't notice them much even when it's 90 degrees.

    Good luck!

I use the Specialized Ridge gloves year-round, and also use the super light specialized XC gloves. These gloves are pull-on - no velcro, and the padding is quite minimal, just like a double layer of the synthetic suede like material. they are quite durable and breathable in heat! I think the XC gloves are a "mens" glove, I wear a specialized women's medium glove, and wear a men's small in the XC. I just special ordered a pair, they still make them, but due to limited padding, many stores may not stock them. tokie

Pearl Izumi still makes several full finger gloves. I wear their Full Finger Pittards Carbon Leather Gloves which are sold here.

I know lots of people who like Fox gloves, but I stopped wearing them because I'm between sizes. But these are on sale here: Fox Reflex Full Finger Gel Glove.

    Good luck,

    Cari

REI does too. I wear full-fingered gloves year round.

My left hand has a partial thickness graft from my wrist to my fingernails. Partial thickness grafts don't sweat so I try to keep that hand covered in the sun. Wearing a glove on my left hand only has bad memories for me and looks stupid, so I wear matching gloves.
