A quick look tells me this has great potential. It seems like it would be useful in conjunction with paper Michelin maps. The program suggests a route with directions (cue sheet) that includes distance. But when you zoom in for detail, the smaller roads disappear, although the designated route is still visible.
I looked at a route in France that I've ridden before and plan on riding again in May when I'm there. It's from Pont Aven to Huelgoat in Brittany. I would use this, but I'd also take my Michelin map with me on the ride (I never go without my Michelin maps while in France)

Online Michelin bike route maps & google petition
To disable ads, please log-in.
There's a worldwide online petition to get Google to install a google bikes for maps as they have now for car routes.
However looks like maybe Michelin has something with some European routes.
Can any of our European residents comment on the quality of the bike routes?

This michelin map did not work for me. I tried mapping a very basic route that most NYC cyclists know - NYC to Nyack - and it pointed me to the highway !
