    Mtn Bikers - Diamondback??

    To disable ads, please log-in.

Question for the Mtn Bikers. Are Diamondback bikes - Sorrento or Outlook any good for an entry level bike to ride the single tracks, 2 tracks, bike paths? I was also thinking about a Trek 3700. I want to get something to take camping, ride some of the local trails - nothing rough. Any recommendations? I don't want to spend more about $350. Thanks

Generally, anything under $400 is for leisurely riding - not real mountain bike riding. The quality of the components will not stand up to the pounding of mtn riding. The DB Sorrento or Outlook should work for a gravel path or light off road trail.

although, if you're on a tight budget, you can research what you want and then look in the used market.
