Cycling vests - anyone make their own?

I had a double mastectomy a few years ago, no reconstruction, and am not very well "balanced" if you know what I mean. Close fitting jerseys just aren't my thing, so I ride in a 100% poly sleeveless vest that's loose fitting, no elastic at the bottom. Can't find another like it. I do sew, pretty well, but have to have a pattern.....not good at improvising.

Does anyone make their own cycling clothes? Can you recommend a source for patterns/fabrics?

    thanks!

I don't really sew, so I can't help with that, but welcome to the forum!

I know others here take the elastic out of their jerseys pretty often. Would that help?

My other idea is that you reconsider riding in regular cycling clothes. I for one would be nothing but impressed by seeing you on a bike as you are. Your strength is inspiring. I hope I'd be able to get back on a bike after going through what you've been through!
