    ANZAC Day

Today, April 25th in Australia & NZ we observe ANZAC Day. From Gallipoli to the Kokoda Trail to East Timor, servicemen & women have shown thier endurace, spirit and teamwork. So today, raise your glass for a toast to all those who've fought & those who serve in the forces today.

Although time has passed, let not the memories fade.

    Thank you !!

CC-thankyou for posting this. I did not realize that you all celebrated something like this "down South". I hope your day was a good one and you were able to go out and celebrate the achievments of those that participated.

I love to hear what you and others have to say about anything and everything from another continent. You are always teaching me about this weird and crazy world we live in.

I hope that you are enjoying your time on your bike even though the days are getting shorter (unfortunately). There are a few Aussie related people that I see at work. The to-be-fiance (not to me but a coworker)used to live and go to school in Alice Springs before moving back to the States. He is a really cool guy.

Perhaps, someday, I will be able to go to Europe or even Austrailla.

Hope you had a good holiday!

    Well done CC
    Always onto it.

ANZAC Day is important in our house too.

We try and do something together - this was the first year our daughter wasn't with us... she was home for 10 days and is back at university now.

But we all went for a looong walk this afternoon, and my partner and I went for a bike ride together this morning.

We like to remember them quietly

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

Thanks for reminder CC, I've got a homesick co-worker from NZ that could use a touch of home...I'll wish him a Happy ANZAC Day (is "happy" the right appellation?).
