Deadlines!!

I had this big deadline last week. I've been working on two projects (funding applications to the state) for a few months, and they were due on Thursday. I finished all but the copying by Wednesday, and was more than a bit wigged-out on Thursday morning because I had to leave the office at 2 in order to get them to the agency by 5.

Or was it 4:30??

At lunchtime, I checked the time just to be sure about the time...and it said that all applications are due to the agency at 5:00 pm on FRIDAY!

So I finished the copying and took the rest of the day off

It's nice when mistakes work out in our favor!

What do you do for a living?

Yes, I figure it's better to be a day early than a day late in those situations. I develop affordable housing for people with disabilities. I was haranguing the architect for some last minute info on Wednesday; he probably thought I was just a bit annoying.
