Umm..i'm kind of wondering if there's a way of finding this info out? We'd like to have an idea prior to arriving in Canuckland how much we'd be paying for petrol.

We're starting in BC, then Alberta, then possibly down through Montana on over to Washington on our way back up to Van.

    I appreciate your help!

Oh ooops..another question..Has anyone ever driven from Calgary down through Montana over to Washington? We don't care how long it takes to get there as neither of us have been through Montana before.

    THanks

I've driven from Calgary to Montana a few times, but not on to Washington. We did Calgary to Portland a few years ago. That took about 18 hours. What part of Montana are you heading for? I think Coutts is still the only 24 hour border crossing in AB.

Right now gas in Calgary is around $1.15/litre. Along 17th Ave SE in Forest Lawn is always a couple of cents cheaper than the rest of the city, and the Centex that's just off Blackfoot by Inglewood is even cheaper than that on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. If you're going down Deerfoot anyway it's work the short detour to fill up there.

Isn't that just a software? I thought you could have downloaded it onto your computer and then to your PDA from anywhere... ??

Unfortunately, most of my electronics purchases now are made at FutureShop, because I still can't find a reliable shop. (Or a shop at all.)

    But here I found this:
    http://www.pdaplaza.ca/shop.php?subcatid=25&id=218
You could always get it shipped to me (but remember I'll be traveling around the PNW myself between May 23 and June 10).

Just let me know how I can help!

    hmm

    trek-no we're not renting a hybrid...that's wayyy too $$$$ It's already costing about $600 canuck for 3 1/2 weeks!

Kat-Thanks for the info! I'm not sure of our route yet, we'll have to sit down this weekend & plan it all out. In terms of Calgary petrol prices..i have no idea if we're passing any of those places but will keep our beady little eyes open..

Grog-Ian can buy it online BUT would rather buy it from an actual shop in case it doesn't work...Thanks for the link I'll give him the heads up on futureshop..

You mentioned a while ago that you have people in the Ogden area. The Centex off Blackfoot and Deerfoot isn't too out of the way for you.

    Eastern Washington

If your coming down through Montana and then back across Washington State are you passing through Spokane? I-90 through western Montana and the Idaho Panhandle is a nice drive. However, eastern Washington is slightly less than scenic. If you do come this way, stop and fill-up the tank BEFORE you get to the Washington State line. We are in some kind of extreme gas price vortex around Spokane. Also I'd love to say Hi if you do come through here. bikerHen
