This topic has come up on a couple of threads so I thought I would make it its own thread since several of us were interested. If you haven't seen the news, Soma is coming out with a mixte frame soon. And if you read that original post but have not seen the updates in the comments, Soma says that the first run of frames will be available for purchase in about four months, but there will only be 60 of them available in this round.

More disheartening, for me, is the news that the smallest size will have an effective top tube of 52cm. The sizes will be XS, S, M, and L, and the XS will fit 26" wheels (or 650b's, which will fit any of the sizes). S-L will fit a 700c. I am really bummed that they couldn't get the reach any shorter even with a 26" wheel -- 52cm is what I need, and I'm 5'6" and probably won't be able to ride an XS mixte.

Anyway, I thought other people might have thoughts on the bike. I'm waiting to see the final geometry before I write this off as a possibility.
