    E3 Form Saddle

Since Nashbar's got these on sale, I figured I'd try it out. It's got a nice T shape, but it will likely be too narrow for me. However, for <$30, I thought I'd give it a shot! Anyone else tried one?

    OK
    Interesting
No cut out but a bigger "base" at the back...
"This specially-shaped rear surface is designed to properly support the sit bones while minimizing nerve and artery compression."
    It does look rather "chunky"

I'd like to know if these clinical studies...
"The patented design of the E3 FORM™ saddle has been clinically shown to increase blood and oxygen supply to the genitals by an average of 4x over a traditional tear-drop shaped bicycle seat design while riding in an aero, drop bar position."
    included females at all...

Looking forward to hearing a review, Andrea

The Brooks B67 is a "T" shaped saddle, too. (nice wide back, thin nose, abrupt transition) I find "T" shape to be much more comfortable for me than any other saddle I've tried. (and I've tried many!)

The wide back only helps if it's wider than your sit bones by about 2 cm (to give you wiggle room and support you).

I saw the E3 a while back....claims a wide back, but, it is really pretty narrow. 5.25" across the back is narrower than most of the Terry saddles, which, sigh, are too narrow for this old anatomy. I'm still drooling at the Topeak Allay it is also pretty T-shaped, but comes in wider widths.

    FIVE AND ONE QUARTER INCHES!?!?!?!

    Bleh.

So, the E3 is aimed at men, it seems.
I think my Brooks B67 is 210cm by 245cm. What is that, something like 8 inches across?
I love the T shape of it. Here's one of them, posing next to my Serfas Niva Misery Chafing saddle (which is more of a pear shape, but still better than most saddles I've encountered)

I've got it on my bike and stuck it on the trainer for a few minutes. It's not bad if I'm in just the right spot, but I don't know how that will translate to a longer ride. My seatbones are wide, but they're big, too, so they don't hang off the sides all the way, just a little over the edge. I really like the shape, but I'm concerned that I'll have too much soft tissue pressure.
I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'll keep you posted!

After spending 15 minutes on the rollers last night, I decided that it was a no-go. It has no soft-tissue relief whatsoever- not even a more softly-padded channel. So, unless one of you would like to buy it, I'm sending it back to nashbar! It's the nice, ti-railed version that normally sells for $99, and I got it on sale for $30. I'll send it to anyone for $30 shipped!
