I bought my new bike today - a 2007 Giant OCR3W (brand new) - got a great deal - $487 + tax. Its in layaway till next month(here in Michigan its 24 degrees F and 8" of snow). Here's picture from the web site.

    Wow!

    Congrats!!! It's beautiful!

Can I ask where? If you don't want to post maybe PM?

I'm new here. Did the danksin and another tri on a used trek mtn bike I picked up used. My coach said it was so awful it was the equivalent of running with one leg.

I went shopping this week to start looking for a road bike and your same bike here in MA was almost twice that. And the snooty bike shop owner could care less about my business given my meager budget. Been hoping to keep it around $500, but was willing to consider ones in the $700-$900 range. I know in the bike world that's chump change, but I was surprised he was so cool.

WOW! Looks like a nice ride for a perfect price!

Enjoy many miles on your sweet machine.

Mine has off white handlebar tape - it has to go. I've been trying to find some online - some kind of splash.

Yeah, I've always wondered about the white handlebars and saddles. They look pretty but must get dirty quickly.

What a relief you finally decided on a bike how long have you been looking?
I think you'll really like that bike and what a great price!

just let the LBS know what color tape you want and I' m sure they can fix you up.

    Very nice!

And, here's hoping that the today's storm is sending you rain to wash away that snow and not more snow

Great price!!! I've been looking here for about a year trying to keep budget under $1000. Not an easy task.
