Advice on bike trainers? Wind trainer, specifically.

I've been offered a wind trainer at what I think is a reasonable price, but I'm not at all familiar with them. I know that Magnetic trainers are louder than Fluid trainers and that a Fluid trainer will provide a more realistic ride, but what about wind trainers? Would I be loosing out with one?

I'm still unemployed so a reasonable price is important, but I don't want to be cursing spending the money.

The wind trainers will sound like an airplane. They can be loud - definitely not to be used if you live in an apartment building. The bonus to wind trainers is that you will get a very realistic ride to riding outside - resistance will model that of fluid trainers. You should be able to find a magnetic trainer for a similar price to the wind trainer. My vote is for a mag trainer.
