Question Kinesio Tape For Knee Pain

Has anyone ever wore this special tape for knee pain? Kinesio tape. Short of long story, but I'm wearing it on my torso now for some spin/rib issues, applied by a PT. When I googled it, this was one link I found with the sports support application. I have an old knee injury that bothers me when I ride. Had MRI and xray of it, all showed normal. Wish they would tell me knee that lol. Need to investigate further with the doc about it, but just made me think perhaps it could help my pain issue as an option. Thought you ladies would be a great resource for any feedback on past potential wear of it. Thanks!

kinesio tape is very cool stuff.

As far as your knee, it wouldn't hurt to get a script for your knee and let the PT work on it. Bring your bike in, have them put it on their trainer, get the PT to watch and see what's going on with your pedalling that might be bugging your knee.

Old injury or new injury, mechanical issues can always be worked on.

    Thx Knott, good thought

Thx Knott.... good thought about the trainer and ride at PT. See what the doc says while I'm there. Might as well see if they can multitask and fix some more things for my PT $.

I agree with the above. I have used the tape with some of my patients with good success. As for the bike fit, definately go for it. I acutally ended up going to a PT friend who is also a semi pro rider to have her fit me vs LBS which did wonders and definately decreased my back pain.
