I just went on a shopping spree for winter gear. I bought a PI InsulaTour jacket from TE, a PI long sleeve jersey, a Gore Passion Ultra jacket and helmet cover, and a winter buff from Terry. I'm a happy girl tonight.

I'm about to order a bunch of work clothes from LL Bean. (TAAAAALLLLLLL pants with LOOOOOOOOONG inseams! Hot diggety!)

Feeling some heavy yearning for a spiffy yellow rainslicker, too. I can rationalize it as necessary for those early morning/late night bus stop waits, and greater visibility and safety during my walk to and from.

Yeah, I can rationalize just about anything...

I wonder if the fall shopping desire is a remnant of when we were kids and got clothes for the school year? (don't think I grow out of all my clothes every summer any more... at least I hope not!)

I think it's because as the weather turns to the cool, crisp days of fall, we yearn for a wardrobe update. Hmmmm, maybe because of the school thing too.

Um, it's still in the 90's during the day, down to 70's at night. However, one morning I rode in 58 F weather. Gorgeous morning, gorgeous sunrise.
