PNW Open Water Swimming

Ok, now that the drama of tri registration is over, I need to work on swimming. Along with the pool work I intend on doing, I need to do more OW swimming.

For those up here who are familiar with the temperatures up here and the water temperatures, when is a good time to get out there? My wetsuit is sleeveless, if that makes a difference.

the water is cold year round! For a month or so in the summer Lake Washington is warm enough (for me) to swim in on a day to day basis.

my coworker the swimmer says not before June for lake washington.
