Well, the injury has healed, but the allergic reaction to the medicine is persisting.

You'll see the pink skin in the center which is 99% healed. But look at the scaly rash from the allergic reaction to the Bactracin! The blisters have settled down, but the itching is terrible and the scaley skin is nasty!
What would you do? To avoid anymore allergic reaction, I'm not putting anything are than a lotion to keep it moist.

I'm an RN so, here's some free medical advice, and worth every penny if I do say so myself.
See a doc.....he or she will put you on a short term, tapering dose of prednisone to get this allergic reaction under control.
The road rash healed up nicely, though. Ironic that the "cure" seemed to cause more of a problem than the original insult!
