I think I am in love....

So I do not know a lot about bikes, but that's OK....I am learning...anyhow I think I may be in love with the Orbea Aqua Dama (sadly still not in my price range). Why this bike? I have no idea...but for some reason it just puts a smile on my face.
Anyone want to lend me some money?

What color do you want? How much does it cost?

I am having fun with bike lust too... I got my bike earlier this month, and I went for a budget model since it was my first bike in years. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE LOVE my bike, but I can see wanting something $$$ after a year or two on this one...

well the one I did on orbea.com built to order site came to about $3000!! LOL so yeah, WAY out of my price range unless I sell an organ or something...

It's pink and grey the LBS here has an 06 they are willing to sell me for $2000 (approx) but it's orange and well....that clashes with my pink jersey LOL

    OK--I am lame.

the sad part is, the $1000+ bikes just don't make me smile the same way....why get something that doesn't make you smile, right??

I told my mom about it and she said I was absolutely insane to spend even $1000 on a bike. They don't get it.

my 'boyfriend' has a felt F1---which he is still paying off. I suggested he just add my bike payments to his...he didn't fall for it

We edujumakated my mother. She now knows that it costs more than a grand for a really nice bike.
I explained to her that at MY age, little things that don't bother 20 year olds cause chronic pain problems, so the best bike I could get would be a custom one. She accepted that very well. Having said that, I don't need her money because I am 55 years old and have money in the bank.

But i can remember being 20 and my father giving me a lot of money to buy a purebred horse when i already had a perfectly good one!
good luck. your day will come.
