I wanted a new pair of dominator sidi, but have about decided it was not meant to be. I tried on men sidi 42. The shoe squashed the top of my toes although it was plenty big length-wise. I've heard some people think the 1/2 sizes are wider but the salesman thought the 1/2 sizes and mega would not work since the toe box wouldn't be taller. Of course there was no shoes in stock to try on. My foot is wm 8 1/2-on the wide side-fat toes I guess. Any of you have experience to relate or recommendation. Thanks for your help.

I have been looking high and low for shoes for my fat feet. I now have a pair of men's Lake MX 230. They are supportive but don't cramp my feet. So far so good. They are brand new and longest ride with the new shoes has been a little over 30 miles. So far so good.
I purchased a medium width which is a D width. They also have a wide which is an EE. The women's sizes are B widths. I ordered mine directly from lake. They arrived promptly.
Best of luck on your search.

Kat and Sarah, thanks for your help. Since problems with fitting a Sidi I've been thinking about trying the RT50 shimano which is a spin-touring spd compatible road shoe. Anyone ever wore that shoe?
Sarah, what's Lake? I have fat feet too.
Thanks
