Good cycling routes in Ogden

I moved to Ogden from South Jordan last summer. I am having a time finding some safe routes with shoulders and somewhat flat to work on my cadence. I live on the east bench and would like to avoid having to drive to get to the start. Anyone know of any?

I don't know anything about riding around Ogden, but I was just looking at the ride calendar at www.bbtc.net and they showed a ride for Wed at 6pm called Ride around Layton. You don't have to be a member of BBTC to join in their rides. It might lead to some good info on areas to ride in...

I saw that. I have done some bbtc rides before, they are great. But, the ride is at 6pm, that is a little too early for me to get there after DH gets home. In the summer, they have rides that start later.
