This is turning out to be quite an expensive hobby, especially when getting ready for ALC. I just placed my second order on TE for gear in just a week. Luckily Duck on Wheels paid for the first order. But two pairs of shorts, three jerseys, and a pair of gloves puts a big dent in my savings (on top of the shorts, jersey and socks Duck bought as an early birthday present). But I'm really excited about all the cool stuff I've ordered. It's hard having to wait another 1.5 months before I get to see any of it and try it on for fit. It's all being delivered to Grandma's house in CA while I'm stuck over here in UK. Sigh. Patience is not my strong point.....

    It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle.
Drink coffee and do stupid things faster with more energy.

Talked to your Glæmma last night. First package has already arrived. She asked if there was something she could get for you. Oh, and she agreed to let you drive the rental car from the airport for us, since it wasn't about doubting her driving skills but about not using up a whole day of her gardening time just before taking her off on a week's vacation.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.
